I’m Jack

I’m a health & fitness coach dedicated to helping you rebuild your body so that you can achieve complete physical freedom!

I’ve been a coach for over 15 years and care deeply about how exercise can positively impact your life. Through my 1-1 coaching service and online programs, I’ve helped thousands of people to resolve chronic aches and pains and build stronger, fitter, healthier bodies.

Perhaps you’re here to see if I can help you do the same. If so, I’d like to share my story with you. It’s what shaped me as a coach and I hope that it inspires you to take back control of your health.

How I rebuilt my body

When I was 16, I tore the cartilage in my left knee and had 3 unsuccessful knee operations. My surgeon said these exact words to me: “you’ll just have to stop playing sports”. The only thing that got me through this difficult time, emotionally, was that I could still lift weights. So, I channeled all my energy into that. I trained 5-6 days per week and my goal was to get Jacked (no pun intended).

 …and I did!

But it came at a significant cost. I had aches and pains, stiff joints and I was constantly drained of energy.

So I re-evaluated my fitness goals

I knew I wanted to look in shape, but I also wanted to be healthy and pain-free, fit and functional in my everyday life. So I set out to rebuild myself.

I learned from experts all over the world (I still do, to this day). This included sports massage and advanced soft tissue therapy, strength & conditioning courses and mentorships from leaders in the field of strength training, mobility, stability, lower back pain and more. You name it, I’ve probably done it.

As I gained knowledge, it helped me to understand why common approaches to fitness were flawed and why so many people (like me!) wind up injured and burned out.

I developed a fitness philosophy

A philosophy that put ‘health’ first and this meant restructuring my training in 3 key ways.

I ditched the gym bro split and started lifting in a more functional way to get stronger (and build muscle) across movements like squatting, lunging, hinging, pushing and pulling.

I added cardio to my routine to get fitter, improve my recovery and build up my VO2 Max.

I added mobility training to my routine to expand my range of motion and improve my joint health.

As a result of this far more ‘well-rounded’ and balanced approach to exercise, I cleared up all the aches and pains, I got a lot fitter and I got a lot stronger.

My motto became…

Very recently, my rebuild story came full circle when I took on the toughest physical and mental challenge of my life: The S.A.S Fan Dance. A 24km ruck in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. It is considered one of the toughest strength and endurance fitness tests in the U.K.

I won’t spoil the ending if you want to check it out, but It was a very emotional day because of what it meant to me. I was no longer defined by my injury. I had successfully rebuilt my body to a much higher standard than before.

It turns out, I’m not the only one who has struggled with joint injuries and feeling as though my health was on the decline.  Through my coaching career, I have worked with clients all over the world who are struggling with similar issues and results have been life changing for many.

Your body has an incredible capacity to recover and rebuild

You can get in the best shape of your life, right now, irrespective of your age.  You can live the life you want and deserve, if you’re ready and willing to change.  The key is to start training smarter, to give your body the exercise it needs to be healthy.

If you can balance a well-rounded approach to exercise with quality nutrition and purposeful recovery, you can have it all. You can look good, feel great and thrive in all aspects of your life.
